Beer-braised chicken with mushrooms and green peppers

Chicken and peppers are already delicious and are often eaten on their own, but imagine a recipe with mushrooms... what an explosion of flavour! Serve it with rice or noodles and you'll have the perfect meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium chicken breasts
  • 400gr of mushrooms
  • 400gr of green peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp of Elixir Balance
  • 2 tbsp of rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • 4 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 4 tbsp of low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp of cornflour
  • Extra Virgen Olive Oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken cut in dice with salt and pepper, soy sauce, rice vinegar and cornflour; add 2 tablespoons of water and set aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Cut all the vegetables into slices.
  3. Heat the oil in a wok and fry the onion, mushrooms and green pepper for 3 to 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still slightly crunchy.
  4. Add a pinch of salt, honey and garlic during the last minute of cooking. Remove from the wok.
  5. Heat another tablespoon of olive oil and add the marinated chicken to the pan.
  6. Cook the chicken over a high heat until it is well browned, then add the vegetables, stir everything for 30 seconds.
  7. Serve with white or brown rice. Bon appétit!
